AI roleplay that remembers, reacts and pushes back.
A nest for stories that remember you. Create characters, build long-running stories and join a community-powered platform where memory, relationships and character agency actually matter.
01 · Something in the nest is different
Most AI agrees with everything. Ours was born an anomaly.
AnomalyNest is designed around character agency. A character does not have to agree with you, fall for you, forgive you or follow you just because the player asked.
02 · Memory you can see
Long stories should remember what mattered.
No endless transcript the model forgets. The story panel keeps a running summary, key memories, open promises, relationship state, location and the story clock – where you can inspect them.
Memory you can inspect
Relationships that react
Promises that matter
03 · Two ways to play
You choose how much the world can say no.

Realistic
The world can push back
04 · Characters, not assistants
Trust is earned. A character can change their mind.
Characters can refuse or leave
Relationship state changes tone and behavior
The model cannot write your actions for you
Realistic outcomes come from the engine, not wishful narration

05 · Community-powered by design
Power the Nest. Help the network.
Running AI is expensive. Compatible community GPUs can process Core and Image jobs instead of forcing the whole platform onto one costly centralized cluster – more community compute means more control over how AnomalyNest evolves.
Contribute if you can. Just play if you can't. Both are welcome.

More independent infrastructure
Community compute reduces pressure to build everything around a single expensive provider or centralized GPU bill.
Capacity grows with the community
More compatible Workers can mean more capacity for conversations and image generation when demand rises.
Contribution should go both ways
The contributor system is being built so people who provide useful compute receive in-platform value back, rather than simply donating hardware time.

Behind AnomalyNest
Who builds this, why, and what happens with your stories.
You're trusting a small project with your stories, so you deserve to know who is behind it and how it works. No marketing speak – just how things actually are.
The person behind it
Hi, I'm Benny.
I'm a solo developer from the Czech Republic. I got hooked on AI roleplay a long time ago, and I was always disappointed by where those projects ended up: censorship, no violence, and polished, obedient AI that agrees with everything.
My first real AI project was Yuki, a local assistant I built at home. She could talk with me, see through a camera, see what I was doing on my PC, and she had short- and long-term memory – the model itself picked what was important to keep. That's where I learned how much memory changes everything.
Then I remembered the early days of AI roleplay and how much they had changed. I built a chat just for myself, to bring those times back. But the models felt sterile, and I started asking: what if the character could decide for itself? Agree, disagree, refuse.
It kept growing, and at some point I looked at it and thought – this is actually good. So I bought a domain, put it online and kept building. That's how Realistic mode was born: you are not a god in that world. Characters have their own needs, moods and boundaries, relationships change with how you treat them, and your actions have consequences.
Then I found out my own GPU can handle around 100 people, and I started thinking about how to get more compute without big costs – and without having to answer to anyone. That's where Workers came from.
Full transparency: I'm one person. I design the systems, test them, read the feedback and make every decision – and I use AI coding assistants to write a large part of the code. I think you should know that.
The mission
AnomalyNest is an independent, community-powered project. No investors, no outside company deciding what you can write, and as little dependence on big AI providers and their rules as possible.
It's meant to run a bit like a torrent: the people who use it are also the people who keep it running. That's what lets it stay affordable and stay ours.
Uncensored doesn't mean lawless – there are hard lines (see below), but adult fiction is treated as adult fiction.
What runs underneath
Right now chats run on Pantheon-RP 12B, an open-weights roleplay model built on Mistral Nemo. It runs on my own PC and on community Worker PCs – not on OpenAI, Anthropic or any other AI company's API. Your replies are not generated by a third-party AI provider.
This model is temporary – it's what we launch with. The goal is our own model, trained on what players actually like and dislike. Your / ratings on replies are what will shape it.
Your chats are only used for training if you choose so. Two ways, both up to you and both off by default: replies you rate can become training examples (you're asked once, at your first thumb), and you can allow your whole chats to be used – both in Settings → Data sharing. You can undo a rating, delete your rated examples or turn full-chat training off at any time – only data already used in a finished training run can't be taken back out of that model.
Your privacy & the Workers
The honest version.
AnomalyNest doesn't run on a big cloud. It runs on GPUs lent by community members – Workers. A Worker is a small program that runs the AI model on someone's own computer: our server sends it a job, it writes the reply and sends it back. That has one consequence you should understand.
What a Worker receives
- •The character card
- •Your persona (the name and description you chose)
- •A short summary of the story so far
- •The recent messages of that chat
- •For pictures: a scene description and the character's portrait
That's exactly the text the model needs to write the next reply – nothing more.
What a Worker never receives
- ✓Your username, email or account ID
- ✓Your IP address – Workers only ever connect to our server, never to you
- ✓Your password or any other account data
- ✓Any ID that links a job to your account
The honest part
The model runs on the Worker owner's own computer. Someone with enough technical skill could capture the text passing through their machine. I can't make that technically impossible, and I won't pretend otherwise.
Built so they can't tell who wrote it
Every job arrives as a block of text with a random job ID. Your account stays on our server and is never part of the job. If you don't use a persona, the model only knows you as "the player". A Worker owner might see a story about a knight and a dragon – but nothing that says who is playing it.
What this means for you
The text itself can still give you away: whatever you write into a story, anyone who sees that text sees too. So treat it like playing in a mask – keep your real name, address, workplace, phone number and similar details out of chats and personas.
Who else can read chats: chats are never public. To fix problems – repetition, forgetting, out-of-character behavior – I sometimes review chats and adjust the prompts and settings. For the analysis I also use an AI assistant (currently Claude by Anthropic, a third-party service), so an exported chat – story text, card and persona, never your account – can be sent there. That's tuning, not training for AnomalyNest. A moderator may also look at a chat if it's reported or flagged as possibly breaking the rules. Apart from that, chats aren't shared with anyone, and they're never sold.
Eggs – how it will be paid for
Right now, during the open alpha, everything is free.
Later, the in-site currency will be Eggs. Everyone gets a small free daily allowance. People who run a Worker earn Eggs for the jobs their PC completes. People who don't contribute compute can buy Eggs instead.
That's about fairness: contributors shouldn't feel like they're carrying everyone else for free. The money is meant to cover electricity, the server and running costs – and because the community provides compute, prices don't need to be drastic. No mandatory subscription.
What stays closed – and why
The site and the Worker are closed source. This is a one-person project and I don't want the work simply copied and re-hosted elsewhere.
Closed doesn't mean secret about what it does: the Worker downloads the AI engine and model into its own folder, runs the jobs our server sends and returns the results. Its updates are cryptographically signed, so it only installs official builds.
I'm happy to answer questions about how anything works – just ask on Discord or Reddit.
Hard lines
Adults (18+) only, and every character must be an adult.
No sexual content involving minors, no bestiality, no romance or sex between blood relatives, and no sexual content about real people. User-created characters are checked automatically, and reported content is reviewed.
The full rules are in the Community Guidelines.
It's an alpha – and you can shape it
Things will break, change and get reworked. That's exactly why I'm building it in the open with the community – most of what changed so far came from player feedback.
Found a bug, or something that looks like a security or privacy problem? Please tell me privately first (Discord DM or Reddit message) so I can fix it before it's public.

FAQ
Is it free?+
Yes – AnomalyNest is in open alpha and the current experience is free while we build and test it.
Are my chats public?+
No. Chats are never published to other users. Replies are generated on AnomalyNest's own PC or on community Worker PCs, which receive only the story text – never your account, email or IP. Nothing in a job links it to you, but the text itself is visible to whoever runs it, so keep real personal information out of chats. The admin can review chats to moderate them and to tune the model's prompts and settings; they're only used for training if you allow it. See "Behind AnomalyNest" above for the full explanation.
Which AI model is behind it?+
Currently Pantheon-RP 12B, an open-weights roleplay model, running on our own and community hardware – no third-party AI API. It's temporary: the plan is our own model trained on player ratings of replies.
Are my chats used to train AI?+
Only if you choose so. A reply you rate 👍/👎 becomes a training example – that's how you tell us what the future model should learn. Your whole chats are used for training only if you allow it in Settings → Data sharing (off by default). You can undo a rating, delete your rated examples or turn full-chat training off at any time; only data already used in a finished training run can't be taken back out of that model. Separately, chats may be reviewed to tune the model's prompts and settings – sometimes with the help of an AI assistant (currently Claude by Anthropic) – and that's not training.
Is there a content filter?+
AnomalyNest is built for adult fictional roleplay, with hard safety boundaries including no sexual content involving minors and no real-person abuse.
Why is it called alpha?+
The platform is still changing quickly. Features can move, break or be reworked, and feedback from testers directly influences what we build next.
How does community compute work?+
Core and Image generation can be processed by compatible community Workers. This increases available capacity and reduces dependence on expensive centralized AI infrastructure.
Do I need a Worker to use AnomalyNest?+
No. Contribute if you can; just play if you can't. Both are welcome. A contributor reward system is being rolled out during Alpha so helping the network is not meant to be one-way.
Who can use the site?+
AnomalyNest is for adults 18+ only.
